Moral Story The Importance of Reading

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a young boy named Rohan. Rohan was a curious and adventurous boy, but he had one major flaw - he hated reading. He found books boring and would rather spend his time playing outside with his friends.

The-Importance-of-Reading

Rohan found it one day while picking up dust in the attic of his grandfather’s house – a small, crow-green book, which looked quite magical. Looking through the pages of the book which was yellow with age, he came to know that what he was holding in his hand was a global collection of various stories. Needless to say, that stirred up Rohan’s curiosity and he started to read the book: and from there on everything changed.

Thus, while reading stories, Rohan was able to get into a new and exciting world. He encountered heroic characters, both male and female; he also encountered philosophers and compassionate characters such as Robin Hood. It made him aware of various other cultures, histories, and lifestyles of people. The stories fired up his imagination and from that moment he saw things in another dimension.

It was revealed that Rohan’s interest in books deepened and he read book after book. He followed topics such as science, history, as well as philosophy. He also found out the marvels of nature, the mysteries of space, and the knowledge of famous philosophers.

He was shown to have a greater knowledge of the world around him, as well as of people in particular, and, as this knowledge accumulated, so did his tolerance and comprehension. The changed aspect is that he became a better friend for he will be warmer and a better listener too as well as a more curious traveler. He understood that books made his escape to unknown worlds and to the acquirement of new information and he was glad.

When the young man returned home from the office, his grandpa a kind and wise man appreciated the change he realized in Rohan. “Oh, Rohan,” he said, “you’ve learned the secret of reading now. ” “Yes sir,” I said to him, “books are the openers of the Knowledge about the universe. ”

And so, Rohan went on – continued reading, continued to roam around and develop. He turned into a wise and erudite young man and the habit of reading followed him to the grave.

Moral: Books create ways and means to new worlds and storehouses of information. Indeed, reading is therapeutic and can assist persons in flourishing and expanding their interests. So, do not cease to read more and never cease to look for more information.
